Do the people that are using the old item# and getting your filters at www.drsfostersmith.com for less money think its wrong? I order from this company a few times a year and they are a very good company that i hope will be around for a long time. I know someones going to say they still make a profit om these filter but who knows. I could not bring myself to order after i found out that this "trick" is just someone found out that putting in the numbers out of old catalogs on the website. Its hard enough these days for a business to make a profit and i think that people should stop doing this "trick". I know they should have fixed this problem by now and i even called to inform them of it but i think it still works.

I don't believe the pages are there without their knowledge (obviously) or they'd take the pages down and you'd just get a "page not found" error. They see the price and they see the item # when they run the order & pack the order. They're leaving it there for their own reasons, although I'm not sure what those are.

It may be a flaw in their system that we are exploiting. Luckily I haven't had to purchase any new filters for a long time since all of my equipment is set up so I didn't have to wrestle with my conscience. I do agree that this is a good company and I want them to stick around as well.

One particular order with them was left on my doorstep by the carrier which I never received. Without hesitation they sent a duplicate order to me by overnight service. They have great customer service and provide a great variety of products not just for fish but other animals as well. This is definitely a company that I would like to see prosper.

no its not a problem, they are in the business to make money, not lose. They probably get their products at whole sale price. im sure they would have notice something on their sales report by now. plus if you wanted you can print the price online and take it to petsmart, and they'll match

They are not stupid and it's not a price mistake. How many times have you ordered something online, and if it was a price mistake, you will receive a nice email telling you they are sorry..blah, blah?

They are selling them a lot and laughing all the way to the bank. They might not make a lot of money from the markup price per each item, but they will make a lot of money in quantity.
