ok so i have been looking for a red terror but havnt found one i finally thought i found one but it was a mayan cichlid sold as red terror so i go to the store and they finaly have a pair of true red terrors. do you think its wrong to trade in the mayan cichlid for the red terror? idk why but i was feeling kinda guilty that i bought this fish got him healthy and am now gonna trade him in. but man a .5 inch red terror with its parents is to cute to pass up but 40$ idk but im willing to but i want no guilt when i give him up for his adorable lil baby

im feeling better already cuz they do rule its true

w/e floats your boat man. I remember first getting into cichla a year back and owning a ton of ocell/mono hybrids. Sold all of them by mid summer and got nicer looking cichla.

I had 7 cichlids, they all bored me out of my face so I traded them and got a big Marbled Goby and big Oscar, I restocked a good 2 times before I was finally happy (I forget what was in there before the cichlids). When you only have one or two tanks like me you really need to find a set up that you wouldn't mind seeing for a long long time. I remember I got some hate for that but if I'm not happy with the tank then it's going to change, and it took me almost no time to figure out what I really wanted in the tank compared to some people I know in person.

Do what makes you happy! Festae are ridiculously colorful so you can't go wrong there.

It's your tank so don't feel guilty or let anyone else affect your decision about what to keep in there! In the end it's you that will be taking care of your fishes everyday :) I changed my mind about my fishes so many times I lost track.. My gf doesn't like it but she knows how I am so she doesn't say anything lol. I love my fishes but I can't deny that there are fishes more awesome than other! Now I'm finally happy with my African cichlid tank and my discus planted tank...for now ;)
