Thats particle board I am assuming right? Might hold it, but I would not risk it. Try and fork out the cash for a better stand, or better yet save some money and buy some 2x4's and make yourself one. You won't pay anything more than $20 and have a strong stand, won't be pretty but will definitely hold.

i had that same stand (looked excatly like it). it held a 40gal on the top and a 30gal on the bottom, because it didn't seem very stable with out it. had it for 1year, never broke, but it did start to warp after awhile...it was always pretty wobbly. eventually decided to build one.

You could strengthen that stand and get a good result. Shouldn't be that involved. Reduce the tendency for the leg pieces to bow, and for them to rack like dominoes. Not that it will for sure, but better safe than sorry.

I have a very makeshift home made stand that I wouldn't trust to hold my 100gal that came with the tank I bought that looks like it would hold better than the stand you have now.

Since your tank is top heavy, I'd suggest building a new one asap, to get more support under it. One wobble too many and I can see that stand coming down due to the weight not being spread out enough.

Those are AGA's Knock down stands, and they are quite strong. A 29 on the bottom and a 45 on the top will be fine.

it should be ok till it gets wet... once it gets wet it will end up on the floor the first time you bump it...

- how exactly can i make it stronger?

-i would build one but im not really the "carpenter" type of guy, (nevre played with blocks when i was i kid lol)

-it doesnt seem woobaly to me though, but im really considering everyone since most answers are kinda saying its risky, so i guess its a no.

since the tank is in my room now, i dont want it to collaspe right next to my computer and my newly shampooed carpet:D so il just leave it as it is:(

I would look into getting another stand.... I can picture the construction of your exsisting stand right now. Two wood dowels in each corner of the cross beam and top/bottom, screwed in from the sides. Absolutely no shear strength. Should it rock from side to side it'll fall over and fold like a deck of cards. Build a bigger/stronger stand, good excuse to get a bigger tank too.
