IMO fenwick is second only to G-loomis in quality of there blanks. And 65 bucks is a steal. If its beat up send it to me and i can redo the rod for you. Me and my father have a custom rod building buisness hear in Kentucky.
Another thing worth mentioning is that because of fenwick and g-loomis's high price tag over the years i have seen a few knock offs going around..
3 years ago there was a guy that was trying to sale 6 g-loomis 6' bass rods on ebay. And they were all fake. He had bought G-loomis decals and placed them on other rods.
If this is a possibility on this rod, post up some pics and I can tell you for sure.
