Do you use double or single Toilet tissue?

Ever since they came out with double layered or thicker toilet tissue, I've been a doubter if they really are double. For the first time(my wife pushed me) I bought the double tissue.

I decided to find out once and for all if my thinking is correct. I have a wooden lady justice style scale (minus the lady). Here's a pic.



Anyways, I put 1 double on one side and 2 singles on the other side and the singles won hands down... it wasn't even close(they hit the bottom). I switched them out and got the same results.


So, End results: Anyone buying double rolls thinking the are getting the same or are saving money are getting ripped off. It a scam that the Industry is using to fool alot of people with.

Are the double rolls twice as expensive? Or is the weight proportionately equal to the increase in cost?
