I have never noticed my mouthbrooders eating. I have a friend that says his eat all the time. Mine run at the food and turn away. The only time I ever thought I had a holding female that ate. She swallowed or spit the eggs.

I would love to have some input on this.

Thanks

sounds about right. When ever my electric yellows are brooding they never eat. I have one female that is on her 3rd set of fry and everytime she is carrying i think that she might die, but as soon as I find her eating again i always find babies. The first set i was all worried and went out and got a seperate tank for the fry, now i have so much rock work they just tend to them selves. I just make sure to be extra carefull doing waterchanges. Good luck and congrats

When mine are hold'n,
they look but don't touch.
