So I came home from work tonight to find the lid on my 75 gallon on the floor, with my 9 inch pleco lying on the carpet. Upon putting him back in the tank he was just floating ontop. However he's swimming around seeming okay..Hopefully he stays this active

i had a 75 break and got home to a empty tank but i was able to save 4 out of the 7 fish tho. Before that i had a 18 inch pacu jump the tank. Knocked a 4 pound bag of sand of the the top and was bouncing all over the floor. Not a easy fish to grab

Working at a LFS, I've seen this happen many times, either with fish that jump, or fish that somehow just end up left out of the tank. My method is to hold the fish directly in front of a powerhead to get water flowing through the gills. I've seen dried up fish come back and make a full recovery. Also, some fish don't make it. Plecos are pretty hardy so just provide lots of aeration in the tank.
You could also add methylene blue, as it makes breathing easier on a fish. However, it will kill your bio filter.

my JD jumped.

Once in the fish store,
twice at home. Probably spent a total of a day on floors.

Pleco's and Aro seem to be the most common to jump

They are nothing compared to spiny eels! I swear eels have a death wish.

I had my 2' lungfish make a run for it and he spent 6hrs underneath my couch before I found him and got him back in the tank. but he has the parts to let him breathe air so I guess its not that crazy
