Does aeration causes BB to colonize faster?

Does anyone know if this is true? Say if i put a bubble wand, would this cause BB to grow faster?

the more oxygen the better but it would depend on the filter whether or not a bubble wand would really help

I use the aerator hose on my 802 Powerhead and it works well. From my understanding, it is important to keep the water moving.
