basically, my 10 inch flowerhorn jump over the divider and ate my 2.5 inch long finned tiger oscar. luckly i got home just in time to get the oscar out of her mouth and it lived!!!:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

however it as no tail :( :(

will it ever grow back and i may introduce a new 2 inch oscar, is that ok?

thanks

If the injury ends before the caudal peduncle, you're fine and it will grow back. If the injury goes all the way onto the body of the fish, it will likely not grow back.

Seems to be right on the border. You might have a Heart Oscar on your hands now. You'll know within a day or two most likely, as Oscars grow new tissue like weeds.

No, don't stress him out by adding any fish to his tank. Considering you're probably already doing water changes twice a week to keep the water in check, one growout oscar is enough for a 30gal tank.
