I would if searched Google, but seeing as I know more about how the opposite sex's mind works than I do plants I'm asking for help.

I bought two packs of bulbs from petco last month. I believe it was a mix of three bulbs. Lilly, onion, and sword plant. Well so far only one of the Lilly's (out of four total bulbs) took. One of the onions. And three of these things.

In under a week, it has went from three tiny green sticks poking out of my sand, to that.

Here are some close ups of the base, the tip if it ( I don't know if it's trying to blume at the tip, or if it's just that way.) And all of it.

And if it matters, the tank is 25 inches tall. With my substrate and water lever, the depth of the water is around 21 inches.

Any one? Is there a differnce between male and female in plants? I have two more of these sprouting up, the second largest one is doing the same thing, but what ever is growing on top is different from the first one.

A better shot of what seems like a blume to me.

If I have two that are flowering, any chance they will reproduce? Is there anything I can do on that end?

Thanks for the read. It answerd a lot of questions I had. The only thing I'm a little confused on is the dormant period. Is it absolutely needed? How will I know when to do it?

I've had some aponogetons growing for years. The plants die back on their own. I just leave the bulbs in the tank. They eventually regrow.
