Does anybody know of hatcheries retailing pike,pickerel??

I don't know what Jonah's charges, but a redfin pickerel from aquaculturestore for $16.95 is NOT bad. It includes priority shipping which is ~$10 so you are getting the fish for ~$7. How is that too much? You do realize that they have to spend time to collect these + gas costs, make sure they are healthy, feed and maintain them, as well as spend the time and materials packing and shipping them. The only better deal is free. If you get one free, you should be grateful as the sender is doing all of the above pro bono.

If you could get a grass pickrel juvinile for free,then you are blessed with some wonderfull waterways.Where i live in Massachusetts i know of no such body of water.I'd pay 40$ for a Guaranteed baby pickrel,pike,etc........THATS how bad i want it!!!!!!!!!

So what you are saying Meepster is that you can after shipping get pickerels for free? $17.00 - $10.00 shipping leaves $7.00. Subtract $5-10 bucks, and you get free fish?
Really what you are saying is that you do not want to pay someone a fair price for their goods. Obviously you have spent very few Sunday evenings packing fish for a Monday shipment. Obviously you have no clue what is involved in providing these native fish to the public. Obviously you do not realize how much feed it takes to get a pickerel up to six inches. Niether Jonahs nor aquaculture store are too expensive, you are just too cheap!
