If so do you just do goldfish or is another good feeder? (for JD, Cuban, FH, Texas). Also how many should I start out with? I will be putting them in a 45. Thanks

Convicts......Too easy...lol If you had a bigger tank, you could breed jags...You would need a 125 for a moderate sized pair.

For feeders? I think you missed the point of his post.

For feeders...Yes...I think I understood just fine:) Thanks.

goldfish have almost no nutritional value.

[bigspizz is trying to say that convicts breed easily and grow to a worth-eating-size faster than other feeders, many people breed them as feeders]

convicts really are a great feeder, you could also use jewels but their not as prolific imo

i have a 55g drum in the backyard full of guppies. I keep a pond lilly and water lettuce on top. no need to filter, just feed

works with gambusia as well, which are a decent small feeder

So do the other feeders mentioned (convicts, guppies, gambusia) have any nutritional value?
