i have a 10000k and acitanic bulb on my tank i think it brings out the colors in my gymnos and lemon tetras quite well and the markings on the drift wood. does anyone else use these bulbs or do you have a combo that works better lets hear it
my 12G nanocube came with 50/50 10,000K and actinic, and I love the way it looks . . . I was concerned at first, because the cube is planted, but at least in this case, the plants seem to love the combination
I tried to replicate these results in my 15G planted tank, but there the plants did not fare well at all . . . the bulb was a different brand, which may have been a factor (?)
A single actinic in combination with two or more 6300K will offer somewhat more natural color rendering, while also bringing out iridescence and other colors in fish.
