Thanks guys , i just lost my aba aba to my polyterus, the aba aba was about 20cms and my poly is about 25cm, its a very sad week, i spent about two months trying to get my ABA ABA.

Wow, how did that happen? I always thought polyterus are shy & gentle creatures as opposed to ABA ABA being the more aggressive fish..

Small aba aba are still prone to being food for other opportunistic hungry fish. Once 18" is where the rampage starts. However mine is 27" and successfully living together with my other fish.

Is ABA ABA the biggest among all knife fish? How big can they get?

My polyterus is crazy, he thinks he is a shark, he will/try to eat anything, he has killed 6 pleco's , 2 frontoza. He swims with the pleco's in his mouth and trys to eat it.
