Does anyone have a mate for our red texas Elaine?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I see your from Boston. Uncle Neds Fish Factory would be worth a try, maybe Lovely Pet, but I prefer Ned. It may take a little while but Ned can get almost anything. He is the cichlid master.
You probably know about Neds, if not you should really check it out www.unclenedsfishfactory.com
www.bostonaquariumsociety.org (BAS) is a nice club, we meet on the 3rd monday of the month-check them out too.
If you know of any other good shops ( besides Skiptons) let me know
thanks Scott S

Hey Scott.we already belong to {bas ,You may know us as the piranha girls or you may know us as the young female couple and we def know where uncle neds is.My dad use to take me to uncle neds house in the early 80's where he had originally started out.Have you been to the little fish shop in china town?We heard there is a secret back room?We have found some interesting fish there.See you monday at the meeting,Jessica and Angie

that's a nice looking fish. i don't want to sound negative but a mate will not work unless you have a tank upgrade. that tank is too small even for the 1.

We have twenty aquariums, so finding a suitable tank for breeding is not a problem. That fish is just fine in a thirty gallon by herself, she is only between five and six inches. She raises hell in any other tanks in our house and i think she likes her tank just fine.We keep Japanese style tanks as well as single species tanks. We are not afraid of the over stocked tank police. You didn't sound negative as much as you sounded chauvinistic in thinking we were two dumb girls. So you got a male?

i love the background music! almost makes me wana dance...almost!:nilly:

You hotfishgirls have some truly impressive fish, I would love to see some more pictures. 20 tanks- one being a 240 WOW
Is a red Texas a color variation of a true texas or a hybrid of a red devil or midas? Ive seen them listed as flowerhorns-what is the definition of "flowerhorn"?
thanks girls
