post your pics here.
fyi, i have one, wild caught crab. :naughty: just to fill up my tank.

I kept 4 micro crabs for a little while, but they slowly started to disappear, so i guess they died... Cool inverts indeed which i would definitely consider trying again...

Most crabs are either salt or highly terrestrial , the only freshwater exception that's relatively commonly available as far as I know are as Homer said Thai Micro Crabs. Unfortunately the crab (unless it's a Micro Crab) you collected will probably perish in a couple months time if he/she's not given a proper set-up. If your really interested in keeping the little guy you should do some quick research and set-up an aquarium for him/her. Hopefully you will and we'll see another thread or this one continued showing you taking proper care of the little guy.

there are many of them here in my place. nope. mine's not a micro crab. it's been there about 3 weeks now there's nothing wrong with it. :) its just an ordinary crab tht u will find in caves and ponds.

I had one and that all he wanted to do was get out of the tank. One day he was successful. Found his body 6 months later off in the corner of the room

In most places in the world there aren't such "ordinary" crabs unless they're in salt water. And yeah, they'll live for a little while in fresh but die pretty soon.

Yes I'm aware that the crab probably seems fine but as I said they will appear fine for months until they perish. That is unless LukeOscar is correct and your speaking of a crayfish. If you where truly interested in the animals well being you'd ID it so you can give it the appropriate living conditions rather than just throwing it in a tank and dismissing more experienced aquarists advice.
