Just like the title states does anyone have experience shipping stingrays? What to ship them in? What shipping company to use? overnight or airplane shipping? Anything would help I have never shipped before...

Moved to the stingray forum. You might get better answers there.

It depends on the size ray. You can ship up to a 10" ray in the standard size fish box with I think is 16" X 16" X 10". Pick one up from a lfs, most give them away free. I use the big box bottom bags that take up the whole box. You need 2 of them. I put one in the box, then line the bag with several layers of news paper or even cardboard before I put the second bag in. This will keep both bags from being punctured. The key is to tie both bags together when you seal them. If you tie them separate then you risk the inner bag deflating and suffocating the ray. I fill the bag with enough water to cover the ray and allow for about 2 inches of extra depth, the rest will be air. I only ship airport to airport because it is same day. You can overnight rays but I don't like shipping that way. If you ship overnight make sure you fill your bag with O2. If you do airport to airport you can get by with trapping air in the bag and tieing them. I use zip ties to tie my bags. If the weather is below 70 degrees I use heat packs. I hope this answers most of your questions.
