What can they be tank mates with?

not really

some dont have true teeth

but they do have tooth plates in there throat for crushing food

Never owned a dovii....but yeah, they aren't the only cichlids with teeth....but they have the biggest teeth out of all the cichlids....

Saw a 12 incher for sale for like $40.....damn if I had a big tank.....

check the members on here that own Doviis....they've got some awesome specimens....

i dont have one but my buddy has one.....8" and he PUNKS the **** out of the 12" Jag and a 13" Barred Midas!!! Dovii's also know as wolf cichlid are just freaking INSANE!!!!

A big mean azz cichlid, usually. which means no mates unless the can hide or run far enough away.

size is 18"+
