IM ABOUT TO BUY A GYMNOGEOPHAGUS SP "EL NORTE" BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT THE ADULTS LOOK LIKE OR HOW BIG THEY GET DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OF THESE?

the picture is from the cichlaholic.com website, but I agree, it is a great picture (they have other great shots as well)

I have an El Norte gymno (from Rapps), and while mine is very colorful, it doesn't quite approach the one in the picture

they get to be about 4-5" total length; I'd compare them to about the size of a small Firemouth
