First off I have no intention of ever keeping these snakes lol. I have seen them offered for sale and was wondering if anyone actively keeps them

I am a very knowledgeable anaconda person and currently own one of my own. I can answer any questions you may have in regards to them.

I currently own a 7 foot male, yellow anaconda, just like in the pictures you posted, and I used to have a 9 foot female green anaconda. I sold her because I bought her as a male, turns out to be female. Since these snakes very highly in size when it comes to the sex, I needed to sell her. She was a great snake. I would love to buy a male green anaconda but they are very hard to come by where I live.

I would love to keep a green anaconda and keep it in a huge display like at the zoos. I'm just not a fan of how aggressive they are. Ill just stick with my retics.

Retics can be down right nasty and they are the largest snakes currently known. I've had a couple and some of the more aggressive anf bad attitudes there are in a snake.

I have yet to experience this yet. The only aggression I get is during feeding time and breeding season, but other than that, they have been puppy dogs. With captive breeding these days, about 90% of the retics I've encountered have never shown any aggression. With green anacondas though, they get just as big as retics but they're double, sometime triple the weight of a retic of equal length and I have never seen a green that wasn't aggressive. I'm not saying there aren't any though

My green was in no way aggressive. I understand some are but from what I have owned, nothing even close to ill tempered.

I had a yellow for about 10 years. He was moody but not overly aggressive.

I have a female and a male yellow anaconda. Both are crazy temperament, like, ridiculously. I've herd greens can be a bit less aggressive, no idea if its true or not, they both look amazing either way if you can provide a proper setup and can attain proper sized food items for them
