Does anyone keep rays with S.A. cichlids???

Just curious if anyone keeps South American cichlids in the same tank as there rays with success? also mixing the cichlids with arowanas, knifes or gars?
 
I've never tried to keep CA/SA cichlids with my rays but i have had tanks with aro's cichlids, knives and gars though.. That tank worked fine.
 
I HAVE SOME OF MY RAYS WITH OSCARS,LUNGFISH AROS,KNIFES,TINFOIL BARBS,DISCUS,DATNOIDS,FLAGTAILS,PLECOS,MANGANESE,GEOPHAGUS,FIREMOUTHS,EEL,
GREEN TEXAS,SNOOK. I THINK SIZE MATTERS, AND ALSO KEEP THEM WELL FED
 
is heroes rotkiel, geophagus tapajos, and frontosa is an S.A cichlids???

i keep them with my motoros, and everything just doing fine.. no one disturb the ray..
 
I have a pair of african cichlids (frontosas) with 3 leos and a marbled motoro. At first I thought the frontosas would really dislike the lower ph water (6.5ish), but they've been fine for over a year.

Would be fine. But make sure the gar cant eat the cichlids.
 
I have heard stories where it has worked and stories where it has not. Just watch it.
