Does anyone keep there archer in full freshwater?

when young, its fine.
but adults need salt. I used to keep my adults in full saltwater (specific gravity 1.020)
you may find that if you don't have enough salt as the fish matures, they tend to be dark and may be prone to fungus.

my understanding was that it depends on the species as some are more likely to fare well in FW than others
