Where the gators are
well i bought a bowfin about 3 months ago. And im wanting to go with a SA style tank so im selling him. i already have someone interested. But ive just come across somstuff about needing a permit because its a native. Now is this legal for me to sell? Or do i need a special permit? thanks in advance.

If you bought it from a pet/fish store then it probably was farm bred and not wild caught so you should be in the clear.

well would i need a receipt? I bought him from a guy on craigslist who had him posted. Is there anyway i can figure out if he is wild. But then again i saw that snookn21 had them for sale and his were wild caught. i might just have to call the FWC tomorrow to see what they say.

I'm pretty sure that he has a permit for collecting fish on a commercial scale.

FWC will probably tell you that you can't sell it even with a receipt for some B.S. reason such as, "Anyone can make (e.g. fake) a receipt," but you still may as well call them and try your luck. If it comes down to it, see about trading it to someone for some of the fish you are looking to get after it's gone.
