Does Anyone Know How Petland (Discounts) is Run

So basically I am wondering how Petland (Discounts) is run. I usually rely on my local Petland to have nice fish in good health (quality). I know the manager and asked her to order me some fish. Unfortunately it has been taking a while now, whereas I know that most stores can get special ordered fish the same week or the next week. The reason that I don't want to do a special order at another place is because I don't know the owners and managers and I can't rely on how healthy their stuff is. I happen to get most of my stuff from Petland and am always happy with it. The only bad part about Petland is that they only have what are considered common fish these days (rtc, silver aros, pbass (think that they are monos, etc.)

In the long run, I am asking how Petland is run when it comes to trying get a special order.

what petland do u go to becouse i used to work at one and the treated the fish like sh** and thats why i got fired point being that some petland discounts are ok and be careful wit the feeder fish aswell

used to work their too a while ago they have their own warehouse were they only carry certain type fish. thats why you'll see same type of fish all of the time. only if someone brings a fish in that they dont want is when you will see something diff.

Wtf... common fish in our pet stores are like barbs and tetras... I was shocked when my local pet supplies plus got a shipment of small silver aros in... Lucky.

um maybe at your petland, but i work there currently and corporate petland orders from a variety of distributers, and getting a fish in is a matter of if that weeks distributer has it. (they switch who they order from weekly and some fish can be on a list one week and not the next,prices also vary). it's not that they can't get a variety, it's just that the commons (nean tetras anyone) sell way more than the expensive stuff.

I worked at Petland for a while and, I ran the fish department. When I worked there, we never really got any requests for fish, at least when it was my shift, I know they will order them, and yes it could take a bit. My store liked to try to get the best quality fish for the buyer because they are taking the time to get one ordered, so they aren't going to give said person a sub par fish. Just give it a bit of time, your buddy/s will come.

the best lfs in my area is petland they order from like five places and i get my fish the next day in most cases.

Like to fish, there are no petlands in Georgia, unless you are thinking about another store having the same name

why order from chain store when u have venders on here with awsome quality fish!
