They sold it at the petco near my house but they stopped. I don't think many people bought them since nearby LFS had better prices. So I guess it depends.

I agree, if only I saved the ad. It was about 18 months ago when they had silver arowanas at a Petco[Fountain Valley] in So. Cal.
