Does anyone own a Red Bay Snook?

I was just wandering because i have 1 that a buddy gave to me last June when it was about 4-5 inches and its now about 9 almost 10 inches and im trying to figure out about how big they get, an i was told there not to aggressive but mine is pretty mean im not sure if that has anything to do with the jag thats in the tank also but i was really trying to figure out how to sex them if anyone who has one or has had experience with one please feel free to share some info.

No problem, and nice looking cichlid.
 
I have 4, they are not aggressive but they do eat alot. I have mine with a bunch of smaller fishes too. How big is your tank and what do you feed them? mine eats pellets
 
I have him in an 80g with 2 jags a red pike an a common pleco i think hes so aggressive because of the male jag they are around about the same size so they like to battle but other than that hes pretty mellow ,never hides, like to watch whoevers in the room. Ive fed him anything from flake food to pellets live feeders bloodworms right now im feeding him large krill and he loves it pretty much you name it snook will eat it
