I was talking to the owner of my LFS the other day about dats and he told me that someone in the area moves their tigers into an outdoor pond for the summer to "tan" them, intensifying their coloration. I thought this was interesting, as I had only heard it done with aros. Has anyone here tried this?

Tanning IMO applies to all as it intensify the color of the scales, this is with proper tanning. Too much will result to blacken scales. For dats, i do not see a need, though it would be nice to house them in an outdoor pond to have a natural environment
