Does aquarium conditioner ever go bad?

as the title says. I was given a bottler of it thats ablout two years old. is it still even good to use?

i've always wondered about this. from what I understand, they are live bacteria... which would eventually die off overtime?

Pretty sure theres an expire date on it,when in doubt throw it out,be a shame to wipe out a tank
