Do you think it does because I have a sub in my room about 2' from my tank? When I turn it up loud it shakes and rattles things in the whole house but the fish dont seem to react.
Does bass mess with fish?

I used to play Bob Marley in my room and my fish always seemed to slow down and get better colors when it was on... no idea why it would make them do that, could have just been me that they were watching...

Supposedly classical music makes fish grow faster. I posted an article about it once, the study used koi but a buddy of mine in college did a paper on it and I think his source used trout. Loud "angry" music can definantly be heard by fish and can cause them stress.
my tank on my entertainment center get's more active when i play music. i have one angelic cat that dances on the front glass, and goes back into his cave between songs. i just noticed it yesterday(he doesn't do it all the time, but when he does do it, he does it for about 45 min.).
