I've always believed that breeding activity slowed down growth because the parents spend less time eating and more time caring for fry. That said, I was told today that breeding stunts growth and prevents parachromis species from attaining their full size potential.

Any breeders out there have an opinion

ive heard and seen that with green terrors but i dont have all the facts. ive seen plenty of parachromis breed and keep right on truckin! the female usualy does not eat much when parenting the male does not care hell eat whenever! i wish i had a scientific answer for ya. thats what ive noticed from all fish not just para.
