does crazing affect the strength/durability of an acrylic tank?

Hey guys, does crazing affect the strength/durability of an acrylic tank?
Just need to know before I pick up a large used tank...

Crazing usually points to something wrong - bad seem, not thick enough material, unevenly supported, etc. Definitely is a sign of weekness.
