I know crushed coral and dolomite buffer against PH but will driftwood do the same thing? I currently use crushed coral to buffer against PH crashes but want my PH lower so I would rather use driftwood but am concerned about PH crashes. Can I accomplish the same thing with driftwood?

fairly new to the lower end of buffering waters.. but seems liek a few of the ray guys mix CC with RO/tap mixture to keep their PH low.. and stable. MIght try looking threw some of the threads in the ray section reguarding water.

and no driftwood as far as I am aware doesn't stabalize your water.. just adds tannins, that if tyour KH/GH are acceptable lower it... but gh/kh are what stabalize it.. and CC effects this... so if your PH is high with the CC from my understanding it's the basic water your useing that keeps the PH stabalized high.. not the CC itself...
