Does my AC110 need this piece?( Pics )

This came on my latest AC110 I got I am not sure if its necessary. Should I put this thing back on??? It goes on the intake where it connects to the motor...

i think it makes the fit snug on the intake where it meets the impeller. that way it wont suck in air aswell with water try it without and and try it with it see what you think

looks like it may be some kind of o-ring to make the intake more effective

yea its on the 2 im gettin rid of if you look where the impeller is see it slides from left to right i just makes it fit tight so pretty sure you need it.

they won't work without it. it is the union between the impeller housing and the intake tube. that peice goes on the end of the 'U tube" that fits over top of the impeller.

yes you need that piece if not you might have some problems

They work without it, but it works best with it.
