Red Devil;1610308; said:your very welcome ... he sounds like he is doing very well... as long as he eats good and growing... everything else will fix it self in time.. no one knows why they get HITH for sure..but one of the most important things that helps to avoid HITH is keeping clean water {lots of water changes} and varied diet.. and minimum of stress..it seems to me all cichlids are carriers of this dreaded HITH ..and something triggers it coming out.. so this is the only advise i can give to prevent it.. once they have it {HITH} its almost impossible to get rid of.. the most you can do is keep it at bay..my older male jag has it and he probably always will..constant medicine etc is the only thing that helps.
