I´ve been reading around that "true" Yepezi looks like my male, what do you think?...
I´ve seen rays in Venezuela, a lot of them during the last 25 years and none looked like this. Most of them are motoro-like, retic-like and a few where light grey with black small spots like pepper.
Here are my male, 14cm DW.

....waiting for you opinion ;)

its not a retic imo.... and yes quite possible to be yepezi or some other P sp. ray.... miles is the brown ray expert im sure he will chime in.... ill look in my aqualog in a lil bit... its a sauna down there and im happy in front of the ac

might be alittle of both.

Yeah....im still thinkig he´s a retic but in the Aqualog Freshwater Stingrays Bible there is a P. yepezi that looks just like my male, and im sure like a lot of specimens around. I was wondering this just to find out what do you all guys think, and to find how many of you have specimens like mine.

Does look to have a bit of cf. yepezi in it.. I think there is alot of hybridization in retics, some have more Orbignyi (which is suppose to be the same sp. according to Rosa?) I think some retics have Castexi in them.. I am wondering why some of my retics have smaller mouths/stomachs than others, it's odd.

Anyways, let us know how it progresses!
