I have a sponge filter in my 125 gallon tank that has been in there for about 3 months. Some of my fish are getting aggressive as they are breeding and i want to take one of my EBJD's out and put her into a 20 gallon tank. If i use tank water and this sponge filter will the tank still have to cycle or will i be good to go? I dont want my female EBJD to die! they are very hard to come by in arizona especially at a mature size.

whats up fellow arizonian.....

if you use a good amount of tank water and the sponge filter, i would let it run for a couple of hours just to be sure.... it should be fine though

and just to let you know, Tropical Treasures at 28th avenue and Bell Road in Phx has baby EBJDs for like $40 i think..........
:)

Really? Thats cool, I have only been there once and when i went they didnt have any. First time i have heard of EBJD's in arizona!

Sounds good, I just really dont want to have a nitrite or ammonia spike that takes out my female. Have had her for 2 years and dont want to lose her.

It should work fine.
