I have this 6 foot tank, I allways thought it was a 125Gal but then I did the math, turns out to be only a 110gal 72"x18"x19 3/4" on the outside, It was sitting empty in my basement for a couple years. The guy I bought it from used it for his snake.

I was trying to sell it and people kept asking me if it holds water.
It looks ok to me but I told them that I honestly have never filled it up.

I gave up on using the python because my washtub plumbing is broken, but then I thought "how about running the python down the clothes chute from the upstairs bathroom".
BINGO!

Does this work bench look sturdy to you guys?

Then I notticed that the tank is not level from left to right.
Left side is full up to the rim:

right side is about 1/2 inch lower:

I think it's level front to back.
Will this foam adjust and level itself out over time?

I also found a clear sticker on the bottom that reads backwards "guardian Mich, tempered"

I'm still debating putting my very large pair of Jags in here or selling the tank.

What whould you do?

Thanks

I would first level the tank. The foam will not correct for the fact that it is unlevel. You must level it by using wood shims.

I would sput a couple Jags in there. Why not? Unless you need the money.

doesnt look to bad but def get it level before anything

As others have said... I'd level it and put your jags in it. To be safe though... I'd probably keep it in that room with the concrete floor in case it springs a leak.

The work bench LOOKS like a POS but I'll bet it is sturdier than my POS workbench. I'd trade ya anyday. Btw, I'd never put a tank on mine. As long as yours doesn't jiggle when you try to shake it, you should be fine.

...and it being out of level isn't a problem as long as it doesn't bother you.

I found a $15 stand and a free canopy so I'm going to try to make room for it upstairs.

Ha! And the saga continues :) Somehow I bet you find room upstairs for it, then another then you'll even find room for another. Anyone who can figure out how to rig a Python hose down the clothes chute is a man after my own heart lol

:iagree:

Leveling it isn't so important, as not shifting the weight distribution after you have had it filled for a long time. So an eneven tank wont usually give you troubles, until you try to correct it a year later. But a tank will look better with a level waterline.

stand looks safer than many ive seen used. But you really cant judge a structures stability from a photo too well.
