Does paroon illegal in CA

I don't think so.

But I've heard before paroons "look too close" to Mekong Giant Catfish to the border workers and some (many? most?) shipments might get confiscated or delayed (and fish may die) as a result of investigation into the exact species being imported. IDK how much of this is true.

Well,hopefully some will turn up for you if you are after them.Victor has provided a copy of California's banned list which does not include paroons so perhaps some should turn up sooner or later.

What do you call regular? And what would be irregular, like short body? But that's a skeletal deformity. There is only one kind of paroon shark catfish that I am aware of.
