I think any fish can get lateral line erosion or HITH. What are you feeding?

I agree. Do you happen to feed your pbass a lot of feeder goldfish by any chance?

That in my opinion has absolutely nothing to do with the actual cause... :( Would you mind showing where the literal evaluation stating that this is the cause of HITH?

And yes Pbass can get it.. Pretty much as easily in my opinion as O's.. Though I have not seen it much in Pbass and Everyone I know feeds or has fed for Extended periods of time Feeder goldfish.

That is also like asking if he uses carbon in his filter.. Or how about his water conditions just a couple to include with the goldfish theory. That are both just as highly talked about as feeding goldfish.

Hole in the head disease is caused by feeding too many unhealthy goldfish, although that's not the only cause. It's also lack of nutrition.

water quality is fine... its just that i use carbon and i treated the feeders first b-4 i give it to them!!! it looke like little bigger tham a pin holes
it above the eye and the righ side of his/her face iis this just a sensory pits or what but when i look at my other one but he/she is an inch smaller i can see any pin hole in em plus the other one is always scratching his right side of the fish on the rocks and heaters...

Yeah, you should quarantine any feeders for at least a week or two. If it's not them, I don't know what it is. Somebody else will.

HITH has not been pin pointed to any ONE cause.

And the Severum that I seen in the lfs the other day had never even been near a Gold fish in its life... Yet still had HITH :(

Yeah I know. Like I said, feeders aren't the only problem.
