Does Tetra Safestart work?

I have been looking around for Bio-spira then realized that tetra safe start is biospira lol.. my question is will it actually work if you follow the guidlines? don't want to waste my money!!!
is there anything else that may work like this?

I heard a lot of good reviews about Seachem Stablity which is a lot cheaper than the Tetra Safe Start.
