does the orange mono really stay small

i read that orange monos stay small their hole lives is this true

ive never heard of an orange mono????? but it sounds cool i want one.

I think cudamaster is referring to Monodactylus kottelati. Apparently they do stay very small, just under 10cm. Apparently.

Anyone have a picture of one of these? I have a 2 sebaes and 2argentiniuos. This may be a nice addition (if I can find them).

As far as I know, nobody has pictures of these guys, mainly because they're never avaliable in the trade (unless you have really good sources).

One to look out for once you get a high-end brackish/marine tank is Monodactylus falciformis. They can occasionally pop up from time to time, or you can ask your LFS to try get some in for you.

Actually kottelati are imported more then originally thought because they look a lot like argenteus and they become mixed in with shipments of argenteus.
