Does this carpintis have potential

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If he is just three inches and has that much kok i would say hybrid not pure carpintis plus his face is built/put together wrong but a nice fish no matter.

Nothing is put together wrong.

He's beast of a caarpinti that's all..
Rare find with a head like that. He must have adapted to where he was for a while.

What i meant was wrong for a three inch fish. Honestly he has the shape in body of flowerhorn blood not typical green texas at three inches or even five inches. If he was nine or more inches then i would think he was an older mature male green texas. I have several strains of green texas as well as hybrids with flowerhorn and flowerhorns and at less than five inches he most resembles green texas x flowerhorn. I could be wrong but either way he is a beast for sure and one i would add to my breeding project without a second thought.

I'm leaning towards hybrid on this one unless you know for sure what the parents are. I was thinking FHxGT. Great looking fish though. I'd love to see more pics with better lighting :)
