before i got it the guy at the lfs only fed it once a day. but the belly is really fat like its pregnant. any clue?

think its just fat? ive seen other bonsai's but this one has a really big belly doesnt seem to be over eating or anything
if its not eating or pooping it could be bloat or constipation (i dont know if theyre the same thing). if this is the case its probably been on a bad diet. im not sure how to treat off the top of my head but when i get off work ill get my book on fish disease and tell you exactly how to cure
yea. i find it weird, the stomach is very abnormal from the pregnant fishes that ive seen so far. its not active its always dark and just floating around.
sounds like bloat to me... what have you been feeding.. too much protein causes bloat and constipation... did he pig out a few days ago..over eat? I think that you will have to follow instructions for remedy.. this thread should be in health and diseases etc forum so you can get the most benefit for treatment.. i will have some one put it there if you would like..
well its not much of a deal i was just borrowing the fish for breeding. i guess i can return the fish and exchange it for a different one.
