I accidentally hit send on my phone before I typed the topic. So here it is: Hello. I use the Aqueon Water Changer to change the water and clean the gravel in my tanks. The product works great for changing the water. It does not do so well at cleaning the gravel because I cannot get through all of the gravel without the waterline going below 75%. So I am wondering of there is a gravel cleaner product that you can clean through the gravel without siphoning out a lot of water while doing it. Is there a cleaner with a filter on the end to catch all of the crap coming from the gravel so I wouldn't be losing water while doing it? If so, who makes the product and what is it called? Thanks

What your doing is exactly what you want to do. Water changes are ESSENTIAL to the health of your fish. Eheim does make a gravel vac like you are looking for, but it's never going to remove the nitrates that build up in your tank or filter out all the fine particals. If your concearned about removing too much water then just do one half of your tank this time and the other half the next. But if you can do the entire tank with only removing 25% of the water then that is perfect.

I know it is essential to do water changes. I do 50% water changes once a week. What I meant is that i can only vacuum half the gravel before the siphon sucks up 50% of the water. So I was looking for something that I could use in addition to the aqueon water changer so I could clean all of the gravel and only have to do the usual 50% water change. I will have to check out the eheim. Thanks
