Does this sound like scam/attempt mugging?

I've been looking at this craigslist ad for a 29g biocube the guy wants 280$ but I have recently become concerned that he may be trying to mug me?

I call him give him my email adress and ask him to send me pics. The original ad does not have pics. He says ok ill send them. He does not send them so I call him again and still does not send them. His voice sounds like he doesn't care at all and sometimes sounds drunk. And every time I ask him what time is ok he will never give me a straight answer. But its always after dark, normally around midnight he wants to meet. Or early in the morning. He says he works tho. Then he is always giving me deserted/vacant places to meet. Then he also says "ok ill bring my buddies". And he also sounds like a body builder, I should probably mention that...

The deal is outstanding but I don't want to die... lol.

What do you think?

Yup, sounds dodgy as hell... plus, why pay $280 for a 29G, isn't that a bit of a steep price even for the US?

But as a rule of thumb, if they want to meet you at really un-usual times like after midnight / early early morning hours, in empty / deserted areas always say no... best is to it trades like this in a mall or something where there is a lot of foot traffic so if anything happens, its not likely to be as bad as somewhere where no one can help you...

I've heard of plenty of kids being mugged in the past doing sneaker trades / sales coz they weren't being smart about it... some kids even lost up to $500+ for not thinking straight...
 
Bring a gun. Lmao just kidding. Idn ive had real sketchy people do things like that too... Im big dude, work as a bouncer and still dont take risks.

I would never meet in deserted places or if he planned on bringing buddies... It doesnt take multiple people to carry a tank that size... I wouldnt meet anywhere BUT their residence and Id have someone wait in car with a cell phone outside.

Bring a collapsible batton in ur coat haha.

How does someone sound like a body builder ? does he say yeah meet after i go to the gym ?

Also that is kinda steep for price...
 
^ Meeting at the house isn't always fool proof neither... i've heard stories of scammers leaving the address of a random persons house and wait outside as if they live there, then once you arrive, bam, they mug you and take off, and your still no better off coz that address is fake anyway so even if you call the cops, it doesn't help...
 
I say if you want it badly, bring a gun and I'm not joking. That's one of the great things about where I live. Carrying a pistol is not illegal. You have to love gun friendly states like Colorado. My .45 Sig is with me all the time.

^ As one of my friends used to say, if you bring a gun with you, be prepared to use it, otherwise you're better off leaving it at home...

Since as many people know, if you show you have a gun, and the other guy has one too, you better believe hes most likely going to shoot first and ask questions later if he sees you pull yours first...

Merica lol. I like canadas gun laws. If I did live in an area that allowed people to carry all the time I would also be strapped 24/7 aswell.

Now they are getting serious haha... Idn im sure the person in the car with you with a cell could call police or help... I

dn I think if you need to post about being street smart and asking opinions your asking to get mugged... lol
