I have decided that I like this stock list so now its time to get your opinions on it. I would like 3 Tems, 5 geophagus altifrons, juruense cat, marble achara cat, indo pacific tarpon, arowana/gar, and one of the larger pike cichlids. I was planning on growing them out in a 4x2x2 while I build a 500g plywood tank. So does it sound alright?:)
 
i dunno if tarpon can live in a 500gal..... without the tarpon, though, it seems fine.
 
Guys, he means the Indo-Pacific Tarpon, not the Atlantic species (which is in the pic you just posted). Google Megalops cyprinoides. They get about as big as a Jardini aro in home aquaria...It'll be fine in a 500

Oh, lol! Last week my LFS was selling Tarpon in the Saltwater section, and when I asked one of the workers he had said it was Megalops atlanticus. Expensive as heck! When ever that store gets their hands on a fish that they know isn't around very much they bring up the price as high as possible. He was about 2 feet long though. Guess it just got me thinking of the Atlantic species.:nilly:
