While overall awesome cleaners I've noticed my Flagtail doesn't seem to eat brown algae -- how about yours?
I've never had any green algae problems with this tank, esp. as it has an inline UV sterilizer, but there are 2 spots that do get small patches of brown algae (left side glass and also on the upper-mid part of tile background). These 2 spots get hit by sunlight through 2 different windows for about an hour each day.
These patches don't get out of control, as I scrub them once a week but I do find it curious that my Flagtail doesn't scarf on them like everything else. Perhaps it's a matter of preference or due to already being very well fed, but still curious if others' FT's take care of brown algae.
