Mine does...

He's about 14" long in a 240 gallon tank.

Lately he's been running back and forth from one end to the other hitting the glass.
He would do this for about 5- 6 seconds and calmed down again. Sometime he would do this when I am walking up to the tank to feed sometime he just does it out of nowhere...

Do TSN get calmer as the get older ?

I'm not sure mine does not do this he does get a little excited when I come around thinking I have a treat for him. Mabye it is his way of telling you it's time to upgrade??I think mabye he is excited to see you and get somthing to eat.

I had a 16" lima that would do that but just when he got spooked by someone or something.

sound like its stressed what are the tankmates any and how bright is the tank and does it have a place to hide

The larger mine gets the dumber he becomes :screwy: At near 20" he's pretty damn stupid. I just fed him 10 minutes ago and he went after the food with so much attitude he completely missed and smashed into a big piece of driftwood. I'm done with this behavior. Anyone local want a 20" TSN. Better yet I'll throw in two 8"s for nothing. How does that sound .........Three TSN's for FREE.....Just come and get em.
