I have some branches I trimmed off my dogwood tree last fall, I was wondering if they'd be dry enough by now to use safely in one of my tanks. I am fine with tannins. My concern is the sap however, but I did trim the branches in late fall so it was already pretty much dry.

I personally use Oak wood dead branches and small dead Oak tree stump's but I found this until other members with experience with Dogwood chime in.https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threadloom/search
