I have a 55 gallon tank with 5 Red Devils, they are pretty large as you can see in my other posts and I added 2 plants to my aquarium. I know red devils are known to rip plants up, but I've had them for a week and they havent bothered them at all. Is it going to be a problem to add a few more plants or am I trying the impossible?!?

Some plants stand a better chance than others. What did you put in there? Many Africans will leave java fern alone, and sometimes anubias (maybe they don't like the taste).
